Amanda Knox

Amanda Knox was acquitted today...and jumped on a plane to return to Seattle.

It's been an interesting trial - the Italian authorities seemingly having the same problems proving their 'facts' in an attempt to prove an innocent woman guilty.  The system seems to have worked...after four long years.

Her return trip is bound to be a rather overwhelming experience - having to adjust to life in the US again after spending so much time behind bars in a foreign country.  That's likely to be the most difficult part of her freedom.  Figuring out how to work herself back into society...now that her name is all over the headlines, internet, etc.

I can't imagine she's going to want a roommate for quite some time...and that opens up the can of worms in relation to her new found trust issues, nightmares, flashbacks and all sorts of PTSD that's she will now likely have to face in an effort to get back on track.  Not to mention her unfinished college degree.

Four years is a long time to lose in a trial of your life...it's a lot of trauma and stress to deal with under that circumstance.

It's amazing how fast things in life can change, isn't it?
