I wish I'd have stayed up until 2am and then gone to the Harbor House Cafe while I was in California. It's one of those places where you go at some stupid time of day or night with a good friend. The food is excellent and the atmosphere lends itself to just relaxing, having an intellectual conversation about astrophysics (or something just as random). I miss that place...I used to infrequently visit with a random friend here or there. I have yet to find that equivalent here in the burbs of Chicago.
I'm already looking forward to returning next year...maybe I'll go toward the end of winter in Chicago to give myself a break from the weather.
Today was a bit rough all around...I'll save the details for myself. I'm simply happy to have it over with.
